Mirii CFT now on sale!
We have started selling our new puzzle "Mirii CFT."
The word "Mirii" is an Aboriginal word and it means star. CTF stands for compound of five tetrahedra and it describes the shape of this puzzle. Every different shape of piece form five tetrahedra, and when they are all assembled it will form the shape of a star-shaped polyhedron.
Mirii CFT is a very difficult puzzle to solve. Every piece has a similar shape and even if you assemble it seeing the solution, you may mix up pieces. Juno who designed the puzzle says that he remembered the solution of Mirii CFT after he assembled about five of them, but once he forgets the solution it would be impossible to assemble it without seeing the solution.
The timber which were used for Mirii CFT were Koto, Blackbean, Queensland Maple (citrus family tree), Jarrah and PNG Rosewood. The length of the piece is 240mm (0.945in), a cross section is a square of 18mm x 18mm (0.71in x 0.71in). Juno processed every timber to form 19mm x 19mm (0.75in x 0.75in) cross sections and dried them at the DIY kiln. He left them inside our workplace and after he acclimatized them, he put them through the thicknesser and made them the target sizes. The edges of the pieces are all arrised.
Juno machined very carefully but there were lots of difficulties and he lost many pieces during the operations. Ultimately, we have finished making 15 Mirii CFT, we will keep one for ourselves so there are 14 Mirii CFT which can be sold. Maybe he won't make this puzzle in the future again, so this is the first time and the last time to sell.
I personally think Mirii CFT looks gorgeous with its five different coloured timber. I hope puzzle lovers will love this complicated and beautiful timber puzzle.
Happy puzzling everyone!

Four Puzzles to Auction
We have put four puzzles up for auction on eBay!
Every puzzle starts from $1.00 AUD!
Please have a look at the Pluredro eBay shop and join the auctions.
Please note that the puzzles we have put up for the auctions are prototype or 2nd grade. Compared with the products we are selling at our shop, material, spraying, finishing and precision look to be at a disadvantage. When you bid, please make sure of the quality by looking at the pictures on eBay.
Mirii CFT
This puzzle is assembled with 30 pieces all of different shapes for becoming the form of compound of five tetrahedra. This puzzle is made of pinewood and is non-coated.
We are going to sell this puzzle's product version that was made with five different colours of hardwood soon. They look much more gorgeous than the prototype. Please look forward to them!
Mirii 4x3
This prototype puzzle is thin-coated and made with pinewood. The regular product of this puzzle is made with three different hardwood and is selling at A$132.00.
Reza 4x4
Maybe this puzzle is suitable to be described as a 2nd-grade puzzle rather than a prototype. Juno cut the puzzle pieces from the end of the long stocks of timber. Therefore, there are subtle snipe marks on some pieces caused by the thicknesser and also there are a few hairline cracks on them.
Complete set of Pisa #2
There are 16 possibilities for the pieces of Pisa #2. When Juno designed Pisa #2 + Cubin Burr, he chose the eight pieces which are one of the most elegant selection and can be a unique solution. The prototype that is up for the auction is a 16-piece complete-set type that contained the pieces that can be assembled for two unique solutions of cubes.
Well, Juno's birthday is coming soon.
We are going to donate half of the sold amount of this auction to The Animal Welfare League Queensland.
Maybe another half, Juno wants to eat delicious sushi for his birthday.
So, we are looking forward to you joining our auction!
