We Pluredro have released many kinds of burr puzzles and puzzle boxes, also some sequential discovery puzzles in the past, but realized that there were a few puzzles that are categorized in the put-together genre. Although put-together puzzles don't appeal much to puzzle collectors I think, it is fun to play with these kinds of puzzles because the object of the puzzle is usually very clear and easy to begin with.
Here is our new product Loopy L Cube #1.
The object of the puzzle is to form a 3 x 3 x 3 cube and it has a unique solution. All nine pieces have a white tongue-like protrusion, an oval shape hole and none of the axes of the tongue and hole are parallel. If the two axes of a particular piece are parallel, the piece itself can be disassembled from the 3 x 3 x 3 cube but Juno didn't want that.
There are lots of cube shaped puzzles. Giving a tray with the puzzle sets our product apart from similar looking puzzles on the market. The tray is made of PNG Rosewood and it has Juno's branding mark on the back.
We thought that it was a not good idea to sell this puzzle in an assembled shape since it can spoil the fun to play with the puzzle. Juno found the following shape that forms a 3 x 3 x 3 cube with several protruding tongues around the surface. It was good for packaging and shipping for this relatively big cube puzzle.
I like this type of puzzle very much. I myself solved the puzzle in about 10 minutes but the puzzle was still tricky. Using insight leads you much faster to solve it. If you see each piece carefully, you may guess what pieces go where.
Loopy L Cube #1 is a good puzzle for anyone, even someone who has never played with a puzzle.
We are currently working on a burr puzzle and puzzle box. Those puzzles will take some time to finish making. We will make an announcement when they are ready.
